Q: What are the new crib standards and is A Baby's Choice compliant? 
A: Yes. We stock only the new 2710 ASTM commercial standard cribs produced after June 2011. Our folding cribs are JPMA Certified and meet or exceed all Federal Guidelines. (All rental facilities needed to conform to these standards after December 28, 2012) A Baby's Choice only stocks NEW commercial quality Wood and Metal folding cribs in Full and Compact sizes that meet 2710 ASTM (new commercial grade crib standards)! This new design of folding crib(s) have had no recalls and have no drop sides or plastic parts. Many of the problems associated with the prior design of cribs that were manufactured before these new standards took affect in June of 2011 arose from cribs with drop sides (sides that go up or down for easy access) and use of plastic parts. BEWARE OF ANY COMPANY STILL RENTING DROP SIDE CRIBS OR CRIBS WITH PLASTIC PARTS. THEY ARE UNSAFE!!  
 
Q: U.S. HOTELS MUST REPLACE ALL IN-SERVICE CRIBS BY DECEMBER 28, 2012 .A Baby's Choice Has replaced all of their rental cribs to comply to the new standards.  
A: On December 28, 2010 the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) implemented sweeping new crib safety standards for traditional cribs such as those made from steel and wood. In addition to eliminating drop-side cribs they require extensive new structural enhancements and labeling. Under the new guidelines no traditional hotel cribs, both fixed-side and drop-side, may remain in service after December 28, 2012 that are not compliant to these new standards and, as a result, must be replaced. Q: What are your Showroom hours of our Baby Equipment Rental store? 
A: From November through April our Showroom is open Monday-Friday 9am –5 pm. Saturday 9am -4 pm. Closed Sundays, and Holidays. After hours or emergency service call 561-628-6282. You may place your rental equipment order on our web site www.ababyschoice.com any time. 
 
Q: What are your normal hours of delivery and pick up? 
A: Our delivery trucks run from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday - Saturday. Sunday and after hour services may be available for extra charges."We Deliver Everything but the Baby" 
 
Q: When will “ A Baby’s Choice “ notify us of delivery day, and time? 
A: You will receive a call from our office 1-2 business days prior to delivery or pick up notifying you of our expected time. We generally try to give you a 2-hour window of our drivers estimated arrival. Should you require a specific time of day, please note that when placing your order. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. 
 
Q: Can we pickup baby rental equipment or beds from your store? 
A: Yes. All equipment, with the exceptions of full size cribs, twin, full, queen and Edward Ritz beds are available for pick up at our Riviera Beach, Florida showroom. 
 
Q: How far ahead should we order baby rental furniture?  
A: Generally we prefer you to order at least 1 week ahead. However if your visit is to be during peak season or around holidays it is advisable to order 3 to 4 weeks ahead to guarantee availability on limited quantity items such as bicycles and certain premium products. 
 
Q: Is there a minimum rental term that we have to keep the equipment? 
A: No. However, all pricing on our equipment is a week minimum. But you are not required to keep it for a week. 
 
Q: When is payment required? 
A: If you pick up baby equipment or beds at our showroom, payment is required at that time. If we are delivering to you, and you are paying by Credit Card, we will run the card the day before delivery, after we’ve called to confirm. If you are paying by check or cash, that payment is expected at time of delivery. Any extra charges, due to extending your rental, are expected at time of pick up or return of the equipment at our showroom.  
 
Q: What forms of payment do you accept? 
A: We accept Cash, Check, Debit, Visa, Master Card and Discover. Sorry, at this time we do not accept American Express. 
 
Q: What is the Mandatory Damage Waiver charged on your Rentals ? 
A: All orders are subject to a Mandatory Damage Waiver fee of 5% computed on the rental amount with a minimum of $2.50 per order. This fee is not taxed. The Mandatory Damage Waiver fee will exclude the customer from having to pay for many unforeseen losses including damage, breakage or clean up costs that they might otherwise be liable for on rental equipment while in their possession. Negligence, improper use, lost, stolen or misplaced items are not covered losses. Failure to protect equipment from lawn sprinklers or inclement weather, are not covered losses. 
 
Q: How do you clean, and sanitize your baby rental equipment and beds? 
A: We have a well trained cleaning staff that uses proper sanitizing techniques and makes a complete safety check of all equipment upon return from rental. Our highly trained delivery drivers load, inspect safety check and if necessary will install and instruct customers in proper use of all rental equipment. 
 
Q: What is the condition of your Baby Rental Equipment? 
A: Our late model equipment is clean, safe, and in perfect working order. We purchase all our equipment new from trusted and well known manufacturers.We constantly update, and maintain all equipment. All rental furniture and equipment from “ A Baby’s Choice “ is JPMA Certified and meets or exceeds all Federal Guidelines. 
 
Q: We are staying at a private residence. Can delivery be made, prior to our arrival? 
A: Yes. As long as we have a Delivery address, and phone number, we can contact the residence to schedule delivery with them. Or you can give us another contact name, and number, for a neighbor, cleaning person, home watching service, or friend, We can call to arrange delivery. 
 
Q: Do we have to be home, to accept delivery of equipment and for pick up? 
A: No. In most cases, we can either leave the equipment by the door to your home, condo, or apartment. It can also be left with your doorman or concierge. Or you can arrange for us to be let into your home by your property manager or by a trusted neighbor. Even our full size cribs fold for transport, and require no tools or assembly. 
 
Q: If we are staying at a hotel, can delivery be made before our arrival and picked up after our departure?  
A: Yes. All of our equipment can be left at the Concierge, Bell Desk, or Housekeeping Department. Or can be placed in your room, if you clear it with the hotel. We deliver to most Hotels, and Resorts in the South Florida Area, and have a strong working relationship with all of them. 
 
Q: Do you offer discounts?  
A: Yes. Equipment rented longer than 11 or 12 nights (depending on item) is discounted.When placing your order the final invoice pricing reflects this discount. Ask about our long-term rates. 
 
Q: Are linens included in your rentals?  
A: All of our cribs include a sheet. Small compact and porta size cribs will include a vinyl bumper. Playpens include a sheet. Toddler Beds also include a sheet and mattress pad. We offer complete linen packages including pillows and blankets to rent for all the different sized beds and folding rollaways in our inventory. 
 
Q: Will you install the Car Seats we rent from your store? 
A: Yes. Our staff is trained in installation, in all types of vehicles. We will do so for no additional charge. However “ A Baby's Choice “ will assume no risk or liability. 
 
Q: Do you deliver Car Seats to Airports or surrounding Car Rental Agencies? 
A: Unfortunately due to the high volume of visitors at Airports, and surrounding Car Rental Agencies, “ A Baby's Choice “ does not deliver to those areas. 
 
Q: What are the Child Car Seat requirements, in the state of Florida? 
A: Florida law requires children less than 5 years of age to be properly restrained no matter where they are seated in the vehicle. Children through age 3 must be secured in a separate carrier (child safety seat) or in a vehicle manufacturer's integrated child safety seat. For children ages 4 - 5, a separate carrier, an integrated child safety seat, or a safety belt may be used. If a safety belt does not fit the child correctly, a booster seat should be used to correctly position the lap and shoulder belts once they outgrow forward facing child safety seats (generally at about 40 pounds and 4 years old). Children from approximately 40-80 pounds and under 4'9" in height should ride in a booster seat. Infants must ride rear- facing until they are at least one year old and weigh 20 pounds or more. Rear- facing, the infant should be semi-upright at an angle or no more than 45 degrees. A forward-facing older child should ride sitting upright. Never place a child in a child safety seat in the front seat of a vehicle equipped with a passenger air bag. Always use the back seat. Violation of the child restraint law carries a fine of $60 and 3 points on the driving record. 
 
Q: What is your cancellation policy? 
A: Here at “ A Baby’s Choice “ we understand, that plans may change, due to unexpected circumstances. There are some items we stock with limited availability at times during the year. For this reason, we do reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee in some circumstances. However if your order is cancelled within 5 days of scheduled rental, in most cases there will be no cancellation fee assessed. Once equipment is delivered, there are no refunds for unused time within the first week’s minimum.
